The average import price for meat of bovine animals; fresh or chilled stood at $4,007 per ton in November 2023, almost unchanged from the previous month. In general, the import price, however, saw a mild slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in June 2023 an increase of 6.7% m-o-m. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $4,765 per ton. From July 2023 to November 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($4,807 per ton), while the price for Belarus amounted to $3,699 per ton.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kazakhstan (-0.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
