In October 2023, the average import price for cheese, other than blue-veined, grated, powdered or processed amounted to $5,291 per ton, with an increase of 2.6% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 an increase of 8.9% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $6,083 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to October 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
