In value terms, inactive yeast imports reduced to $X in 2023. Overall, imports, however, recorded resilient growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2022 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, and then reduced in the following year.

Imports by Country

Chile was the main importing country with an import of about X tons, which finished at X% of total imports. Ecuador (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Argentina (X tons), Brazil (X tons), Colombia (X tons) and Peru (X tons). All these countries together held approx. X% share of total imports. Paraguay (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2023, average annual rates of growth with regard to inactive yeast imports into Chile stood at X%. At the same time, Paraguay (X%), Argentina (X%), Ecuador (X%), Brazil (X%) and Colombia (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. From 2012 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Colombia (X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
