Refined Coconut Oil Price in the Czech Republic (CIF) - 2023
In June 2023, the average refined coconut oil import price amounted to $2,079 per ton, falling by -2% against the previous month. In general, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in October 2022 when the average import price increased by 13% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $2,588 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to June 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Italy ($3,518 per ton), while the price for the Netherlands ($1,819 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+2.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Refined Coconut Oil Price in the Czech Republic (FOB) - 2023
In June 2023, the average refined coconut oil export price amounted to $5,547 per ton, with an increase of 167% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $8,122 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to June 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($11,177 per ton), while the average price for exports to Slovakia ($4,430 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Austria (+5.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Refined Coconut Oil Imports in the Czech Republic
In 2022, imports of refined coconut (copra) oil into the Czech Republic expanded markedly to 2.8K tons, surging by 14% compared with the previous year. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.9% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 15% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
In value terms, refined coconut oil imports soared to $6M in 2022. In general, imports posted significant growth. Refined Coconut Oil Exports in the Czech Republic
In 2022, approx. 169 tons of refined coconut (copra) oil were exported from the Czech Republic; shrinking by -19.4% against the previous year. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate resilient growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 159%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 209 tons, and then dropped markedly in the following year.
In value terms, refined coconut oil exports reduced to $789K in 2022. Overall, total exports indicated a resilient increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +10.3% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +55.8% against 2020 indices.
