In June 2023, the average non-silver precious metal jewelry export price amounted to $82.7M per ton, with a decrease of -10.4% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a perceptible decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in February 2023 when the average export price increased by 42% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $123M per ton in December 2022; afterwards, it flattened through to June 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($175M per ton), while the average price for exports to South Korea ($40.1M per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Singapore (+8.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
