Price for Aluminium; Alloys, Hollow Profiles in China (FOB) - 2023
In June 2023, the average aluminium; alloys, hollow profiles export price amounted to $3,433 per ton, leveling off at the previous month. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a slight decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 an increase of 2.4% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $4,119 per ton in June 2022; however, from July 2022 to June 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major foreign markets. In June 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices to India ($3,962 per ton) and Mexico ($3,815 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Dominican Republic ($2,957 per ton) and South Africa ($3,070 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Malaysia (-0.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In June 2023, the average aluminium; alloys, hollow profiles import price amounted to $8,191 per ton, surging by 6% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in January 2023 when the average import price increased by 21% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $10,167 per ton. From February 2023 to June 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the UK ($17,443 per ton), while the price for Indonesia ($1,452 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Slovakia (+17.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Exports of Aluminium; Alloys, Hollow Profiles in China
In 2022, aluminium; alloys, hollow profiles exports from China declined to 522K tons, remaining constant against the year before. Over the period under review, exports saw a slight contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 3%.
