Preserved Sweet Corn Price in Kuwait (CIF) - 2021
In December 2021, the average preserved sweet corn import price amounted to $1,577 per ton, shrinking by -10.7% against the previous month. Overall, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in July 2021 when the average import price increased by 170% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $5,273 per ton. From August 2021 to December 2021, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2021, the country with the highest price was France ($3,124 per ton), while the price for the United States ($654 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to December 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Hungary (+2.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Preserved Sweet Corn Price in Kuwait (FOB) - 2022
The average preserved sweet corn export price stood at $1,059 per ton in 2022, waning by -41.2% against the previous year. In general, the export price continues to indicate a noticeable descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average export price increased by 95% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $2,216 per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Iraq ($1,124 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United Arab Emirates ($747 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In 2022, the amount of sweet corn prepared or preserved imported into Kuwait amounted to 3.3K tons, with an increase of 5.2% against the previous year. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.5% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 19%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 3.4K tons.
