Global production peaked at 1.5B square meters in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, production failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, production of non-PVC floor, wall and ceiling coverings reduced to $5.7B in 2022 estimated in export price. In general, production, however, recorded a remarkable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the production volume increased by 38% against the previous year. Global production peaked at $6.8B in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, production stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Production By Country

China (613M square meters) constituted the country with the largest volume of production of non-PVC floor, wall and ceiling coverings, accounting for 45% of total volume. Russia (76M square meters) ranked third in terms of total production with a 5.7% share.
