Honey Price in Bulgaria (FOB) - 2023
In August 2023, the average honey export price amounted to $3,541 per ton, shrinking by -5.3% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.5%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in January 2023 an increase of 25% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $4,004 per ton. From February 2023 to August 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Belgium ($5,584 per ton), while the average price for exports to Greece ($2,139 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belgium (+4.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Honey Price in Bulgaria (CIF) - 2023
In August 2023, the average honey import price amounted to $2,656 per ton, rising by 20% against the previous month. Over the period from August 2022 to August 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.5%. The import price peaked at $2,707 per ton in November 2022; afterwards, it flattened through to August 2023.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Italy ($4,143 per ton), while the price for Turkey ($1,929 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+6.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
