The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2021, and then declined significantly in the following year.

Imports by Country

Angola (X tons) and Mozambique (X tons) represented roughly X% of total imports in 2022. Botswana (X tons) took a X% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by South Africa (X%), Democratic Republic of the Congo (X%), Namibia (X%), Zambia (X%) and Mauritius (X%).

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Mozambique (with a CAGR of X%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
