Cows Skin Market Size in the EU

The EU cows skin market amounted to $X in 2023, with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, consumption, however, continues to indicate a noticeable shrinkage. From 2012 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of production, amongst the key producing countries, was attained by Poland (with a CAGR of X%), while production for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Exports in the EU

Cows skin exports dropped to X tons in 2023, with a decrease of X% compared with the year before. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2023, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, cows skin exports rose to $X in 2023. Over the period under review, exports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2023, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

Italy was the largest exporter of raw hides and skins of bovine animals in the European Union, with the volume of exports reaching X tons, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2023. In 2023, supplies from abroad of raw hides and skins of bovine animals increased by X% to X tons, rising for the third consecutive year after two years of decline. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a pronounced reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by X%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2014 to 2023, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
