Waffle and Wafer Price in Peru (CIF) - 2021
The average waffle and wafer import price stood at $2,318 per ton in April 2020, increasing by 17% against the previous month. Over the last three months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.4%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in February 2020 when the average import price increased by 26% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $2,714 per ton. From March 2020 to April 2020, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In April 2020, the country with the highest price was Austria ($7,724 per ton), while the price for Colombia ($1,534 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2020 to April 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Colombia (+1.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Waffle and Wafer Price in Peru (FOB) - 2021
In April 2020, the average waffle and wafer export price amounted to $2,888 per ton, reducing by -26.7% against the previous month. In general, the export price continues to indicate a noticeable slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2020 when the average export price increased by 25% against the previous month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $3,941 per ton, and then reduced remarkably in the following month.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major foreign markets. In April 2020, the countries with the highest prices were Ecuador ($3,409 per ton) and Chile ($2,918 per ton), while the average price for exports to Colombia ($2,759 per ton) and the United States ($2,766 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From January 2020 to April 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+3.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Waffle and Wafer Imports in Peru
