Travel Set Price in China (FOB) - 2023
In June 2023, the average travel set export price amounted to $713 per thousand units, rising by 12% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.8%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in March 2023 an increase of 17% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum in June 2023.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Australia ($1.4 per unit), while the average price for exports to Italy ($101 per thousand units) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+11.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Travel Set Price in China (CIF) - 2023
In June 2023, the average travel set import price amounted to $927 per thousand units, which is down by -36.2% against the previous month. Overall, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 an increase of 110% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $1.6 per unit in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to June 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Japan ($4.5 per unit), while the price for Cambodia stood at $790 per thousand units.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Japan (+1.8%).
Travel Set Exports in China
In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of travel sets, when their volume decreased by -10.8% to 431M units. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.2% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being observed in certain years. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 23% against the previous year. The exports peaked at 483M units in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.
In value terms, travel set exports reached $200M in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +2.7% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 19%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.

Travel Set Imports in China
After two years of decline, supplies from abroad of travel sets increased by 54% to 650K units in 2022. In general, imports, however, faced a significant decline. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at 2.7M units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, travel set imports soared to $1.7M in 2022. Overall, imports saw prominent growth. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
