Spinach Price in Hong Kong SAR (CIF) - 2022
The average spinach import price stood at $4,562 per ton in 2022, reducing by -55% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw a prominent expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when the average import price increased by 165% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $10,135 per ton in 2021, and then reduced markedly in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Australia ($12,082 per ton), while the price for China ($1,876 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Australia (+3.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
