In August 2023, the average soups import price amounted to $5,185 per ton, with an increase of 5.6% against the previous month. Over the period from August 2022 to August 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.6%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in October 2022 when the average import price increased by 23% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure in August 2023.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($10,184 per ton), while the price for Belgium ($2,788 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+3.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Soups Price in Norway (FOB) - 2023
In August 2023, the average soups export price amounted to $5,720 per ton, dropping by -17.7% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in February 2023 an increase of 24% m-o-m.
