Refined Coconut Oil Price in France (CIF) - 2023
The average refined coconut oil import price stood at $2,295 per ton in June 2023, rising by 5.6% against the previous month. In general, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 an increase of 14% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $2,424 per ton. From December 2022 to June 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Italy ($7,183 per ton), while the price for Spain ($1,781 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+8.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average refined coconut oil export price amounted to $2,424 per ton, rising by 12% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price enjoyed prominent growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when the average export price increased by 65%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $2,487 per ton in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($8,302 per ton), while the average price for exports to the UK ($1,872 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Italy (+23.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

In value terms, refined coconut oil exports amounted to $16M in 2022. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a significant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 48%.
