Olive Production in Uzbekistan - 2022
In 2022, production of olives decreased by -0.3% to 120 tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. The total output volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.1% over the period from 2017 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations in certain years. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when the production volume increased by 5.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, production attained the peak volume at 120 tons in 2021, and then declined slightly in the following year. Olive output in Uzbekistan indicated a modest increase, which was largely conditioned by a modest increase of the harvested area and a mild expansion in yield figures.
In value terms, olive production contracted remarkably to $221K in 2022 estimated in export price. Over the period under review, production, however, enjoyed a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the production volume increased by 275%. As a result, production attained the peak level of $454K. From 2020 to 2022, production growth failed to regain momentum.
Olive Harvested Area in Uzbekistan - 2022
In 2022, approx. 136 ha of olives were harvested in Uzbekistan; stabilizing at the year before. Overall, the harvested area showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the harvested area increased by 1.5%. The olive harvested area peaked at 139 ha in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the harvested area remained at a lower figure.

The average yield of olives in Uzbekistan reached 879 kg per ha in 2022, stabilizing at 2021 figures. The yield figure increased at an average annual rate of +1.5% from 2017 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 7.5% against the previous year. The olive yield peaked at 890 kg per ha in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the yield stood at a somewhat lower figure.
