The average zirconium ore and concentrate import price stood at $1,786 per ton in 2022, growing by 23% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import price indicated a mild increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +1.7% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+2.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports of Zirconium Ore and Concentrate in Singapore

After three years of growth, purchases abroad of zirconium ores and concentrates decreased by -87.5% to 820 tons in 2022. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a abrupt slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 211%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 6.6K tons, and then fell sharply in the following year.

In value terms, zirconium ore and concentrate imports fell sharply to $1.5M in 2022. In general, imports, however, enjoyed a measured expansion.
