In November 2023, the average import price for wine; still, in containers holding more than 2 litreses amounted to $1.6 per litre, shrinking by -1.9% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in March 2023 an increase of 12% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $2.1 per litre in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to November 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Iceland ($3.1 per litre), while the average price for exports to Chile ($859 per thousand litres) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Iceland (+14.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
