Price for Wine; Still, in Containers Holding More than 2 Litres in Bulgaria (FOB) - 2023

The average export price for wine; still, in containers holding more than 2 litreses stood at $1.4 per litre in October 2023, reducing by -3% against the previous month. In general, export price indicated a measured expansion from October 2022 to October 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +3.0% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on October 2023 figures, export price for wine; still, in containers holding more than 2 litreses decreased by -17.2% against July 2023 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 when the average export price increased by 29% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $1.7 per litre in July 2023; however, from August 2023 to October 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($2.4 per litre), while the average price for exports to Poland ($681 per thousand litres) was amongst the lowest.

From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+4.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Overall, total imports indicated a resilient expansion from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +8.5% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +27.9% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 46%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $6.1M, and then shrank markedly in the following year.
