The average export price for wadding; other articles thereof, of man-made fibreses stood at $12,254 per ton in September 2023, declining by -2.2% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, recorded a strong increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in February 2023 an increase of 181% m-o-m. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $16,140 per ton. From March 2023 to September 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($22,808 per ton), while the average price for exports to Vietnam ($7,707 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+3.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
