In 2021, the average import price for spices; cardamoms, crushed or ground amounted to $22,297 per ton, dropping by -21% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, posted a strong expansion. The import price peaked at $28,242 per ton in 2020, and then plummeted in the following year.

From 2014 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Turkey (+50.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
