In July 2023, the average export price for organo-sulphur compounds; thiocarbamates and dithiocarbamateses amounted to $6,361 per ton, with a decrease of -5.1% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.2%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in November 2022 when the average export price increased by 21% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $6,907 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to July 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In July 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Turkey ($6,753 per ton) and the UK ($6,708 per ton), while the average price for exports to China ($6,235 per ton) and the Netherlands ($6,254 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Indonesia (+3.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
