As a result, import price attained the peak level of $10,457 per ton, and then reduced modestly in the following month.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Spain ($10,627 per ton), while the price for the Netherlands ($8,643 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+2.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Cabo Verde ($15,152 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($4,000 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2013 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belgium (+11.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
