The average import price for nickel; tubes and pipes, not alloyeds stood at $123,000 per ton in 2022, surging by 22% against the previous year. Overall, import price indicated a mild expansion from 2013 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +1.5% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, import price for nickel; tubes and pipes, not alloyeds increased by +57.7% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when the average import price increased by 44% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $154,933 per ton. From 2015 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was China ($139,128 per ton), while the price for Estonia ($107,297 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2013 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the UK (+8.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

For the third consecutive year, Ukraine recorded decline in supplies from abroad of nickel; tubes and pipes, not alloyeds, which decreased by -66% to 80 kg in 2022. Overall, imports continue to indicate a sharp contraction. The smallest decline of -9.3% was in 2021.
In value terms, imports of nickel; tubes and pipes, not alloyeds fell remarkably to $9.8K in 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw a sharp slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 6.7% against the previous year.
