In December 2022, the average export price for hot-rolled wire rods in coils amounted to $658 per ton, reducing by -8.9% against the previous month. In general, the export price continues to indicate a slight decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in June 2022 when the average export price increased by 20% against the previous month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $929 per ton. From July 2022 to December 2022, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was France ($9,993 per ton), while the average price for exports to Libya ($649 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2021 to December 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (+7.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
