In 2022, the average export price for furniture; of cane, osier, or similar materials (other than bamboo or rattan) amounted to $2,044 per ton, shrinking by -10.1% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, recorded strong growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 50%. The export price peaked at $2,275 per ton in 2021, and then fell in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Cyprus ($5,689 per ton), while the average price for exports to Italy ($1,170 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+15.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In November 2023, the average import price for furniture; of cane, osier, or similar materials (other than bamboo or rattan) amounted to $4,173 per ton, waning by -23.6% against the previous month. Overall, import price indicated a buoyant expansion from November 2022 to November 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +5.2% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on November 2023 figures, import price for furniture; of cane, osier, or similar materials (other than bamboo or rattan) decreased by -23.6% against October 2023 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in December 2022 when the average import price increased by 79% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $6,253 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to November 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Ukraine ($8,245 per ton), while the price for Vietnam ($2,374 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Ukraine (+11.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, exports of furniture; of cane, osier, or similar materials (other than bamboo or rattan) rose sharply to $185M in 2022. Overall, exports, however, recorded a deep downturn.
