Price for Frozen Fruits and Vegetables in Russia (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average frozen fruits and vegetables import price amounted to $920 per ton, reducing by -4.7% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.2%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average import price increased by 13% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $965 per ton in 2021, and then reduced slightly in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was China ($1,628 per ton), while the price for Poland ($427 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Uzbekistan (+5.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average frozen fruits and vegetables export price amounted to $2,057 per ton, rising by 2.2% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a perceptible shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when the average export price increased by 10%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $3,629 per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Estonia ($3,460 per ton), while the average price for exports to Ukraine ($1,488 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+5.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Imports of Frozen Fruits and Vegetables in Russia
Frozen fruits and vegetables imports into Russia surged to 438K tons in 2022, increasing by 26% compared with 2021 figures. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +9.5% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
