The average import price for crustaceans, molluscs and other aquatic invertebrates, prepared or preserveds stood at $12,666 per ton in January 2024, rising by 2.6% against the previous month. In general, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in May 2023 when the average import price increased by 7.9% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $13,685 per ton. From June 2023 to January 2024, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In January 2024, the country with the highest price was China ($18,131 per ton), while the price for Greenland ($10,982 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From January 2023 to January 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Sweden (+1.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $12,219 per ton. From May 2023 to January 2024, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($15,305 per ton), while the average price for exports to the UK ($6,017 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From January 2023 to January 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Denmark (+3.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
