The average export price for crustacean preparations; prepared or preserved crustaceans (excluding crab, shrimps, prawns and lobster)s stood at $13,047 per ton in November 2023, with a decrease of -6.3% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2023 when the average export price increased by 9.4% against the previous month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $13,980 per ton. From October 2023 to November 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In November 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices to France ($14,677 per ton) and Germany ($13,966 per ton), while the average price for exports to the UK ($9,925 per ton) and Italy ($10,130 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+2.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for crustacean preparations; prepared or preserved crustaceans (excluding crab, shrimps, prawns and lobster)s stood at $13,454 per ton in October 2023, surging by 1.9% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, showed a slight curtailment. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in January 2023 when the average import price increased by 38% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $16,654 per ton. From February 2023 to October 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($14,493 per ton), while the price for Spain ($9,137 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+3.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
