In 2022, the average import price for cereals; grain sorghum, other than seeds amounted to $343 per ton, surging by 7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 71% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $349 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($364 per ton), while the price for Hungary stood at $342 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Russia (+5.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were Montenegro ($424 per ton) and North Macedonia ($417 per ton), while the average price for exports to Albania ($400 per ton) and Bosnia and Herzegovina ($414 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2013 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bosnia and Herzegovina (+17.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
