Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.1%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In January 2024, the countries with the highest prices were Japan ($770 per ton) and Taiwan (Chinese) ($728 per ton), while the average price for exports to India ($606 per ton) and China ($619 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From January 2023 to January 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Japan (+1.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
