The average import price for cereal grains; rolled or flaked, of oatses stood at $939 per ton in September 2023, picking up by 3.4% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, showed a slight descent. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in February 2023 when the average import price increased by 194% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $1,056 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to September 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Norway ($2,157 per ton), while the price for the UK stood at $1,472 per ton.
From December 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the UK (+7.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period from December 2022 to September 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.8%. The export price peaked at $1,547 per ton in April 2023; afterwards, it flattened through to September 2023.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Norway ($3,227 per ton), while the average price for exports to Faroe Islands ($1,560 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+14.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
