Price for Cereal Flours; Other than of Wheat or Meslin in Thailand (FOB) - 2024
The average export price for cereal flours; other than of wheat or meslin stood at $990 per ton in January 2024, shrinking by -3.1% against the previous month. Overall, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2023 an increase of 5.4% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $1,026 per ton in November 2023; however, from December 2023 to January 2024, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major foreign markets. In January 2024, the highest price was recorded for prices to Japan ($1,115 per ton) and the United States ($1,098 per ton), while the average price for exports to Lao People's Democratic Republic ($830 per ton) and Cambodia ($847 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From January 2023 to January 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Japan (+0.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for cereal flours; other than of wheat or meslin stood at $893 per ton in January 2024, rising by 12% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The import price peaked at $1,072 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to January 2024, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In January 2024, the country with the highest price was Australia ($960 per ton), while the price for India ($468 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2023 to January 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Australia (+2.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Exports of Cereal Flours; Other than of Wheat or Meslin in Thailand
In 2022, exports of cereal flours; other than of wheat or meslin from Thailand declined modestly to 157K tons, reducing by -3.1% against the year before. Overall, exports continue to indicate a pronounced slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 1.6% against the previous year.
