In October 2023, the average export price for cellulose nitrates (including collodions); in primary formses amounted to $3,758 per ton, stabilizing at the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in May 2023 when the average export price increased by 7% against the previous month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $4,103 per ton. From June 2023 to October 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major external markets. In October 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices to Italy ($4,040 per ton) and Egypt ($4,012 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($2,830 per ton) and Greece ($3,167 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From November 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bulgaria (+0.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2023 an increase of 24% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $3,923 per ton. From September 2023 to October 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries.
