The average export price for cellulose acetates; non-plasticised, in primary formses stood at $4,916 per ton in 2022, picking up by 2% against the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded a moderate increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 75%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $15,091 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was France ($8,924 per ton), while the average price for exports to Turkey ($1,526 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+9.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
