The average export price for anise, badian, fennel and coriander stood at $2,605 per ton in 2022, jumping by 31% against the previous year. In general, the export price enjoyed a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 an increase of 47%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $2,942 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Morocco ($3,671 per ton), while the average price for exports to Tunisia ($946 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
