Price for Aluminium; Tubes and Pipes in Japan (FOB) - 2023
The average aluminium; tubes and pipes export price stood at $11,406 per ton in July 2023, remaining constant against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in December 2022 when the average export price increased by 17% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $13,572 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to July 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the United States ($15,426 per ton), while the average price for exports to Mexico ($7,178 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+1.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

The average aluminium; tubes and pipes import price stood at $7,236 per ton in July 2023, waning by -6.1% against the previous month. In general, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 22% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $8,579 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to July 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Taiwan (Chinese) ($11,007 per ton), while the price for Vietnam ($4,579 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by South Korea (+0.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Exports of Aluminium; Tubes and Pipes in Japan
