The average import price for aluminium; alloys, wire, maximum cross-sectional dimension exceeding 7mms stood at $3,425 per ton in November 2023, declining by -3.9% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a mild contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in June 2023 when the average import price increased by 10% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $4,139 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to November 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices from the Netherlands ($4,135 per ton) and Spain ($3,869 per ton), while the price for the United Arab Emirates ($2,777 per ton) and Malaysia ($2,832 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
