Papaya Price in the Dominican Republic (FOB) - 2023
The average papaya export price stood at $931 per ton in March 2023, which is down by -9.4% against the previous month. In general, the export price continues to indicate a noticeable decrease. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in February 2023 when the average export price increased by 4.7% against the previous month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $1,027 per ton, and then shrank in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In March 2023, the country with the highest price was France ($1,338 per ton), while the average price for exports to Canada ($583 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2023 to March 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Canada (+149.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
