Non-Liquid Margarine Price in Slovakia (CIF) - 2023

The average non-liquid margarine import price stood at $1,460 per ton in May 2023, dropping by -30.4% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 an increase of 42% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $2,099 per ton, and then shrank remarkably in the following month.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($4,438 per ton), while the price for Lithuania ($684 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From May 2022 to May 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+11.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average non-liquid margarine export price stood at $1,827 per ton in June 2023, growing by 3.5% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.2%. The growth pace was the most rapid in September 2022 an increase of 7.5% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $1,863 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to June 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In June 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices to the Czech Republic ($1,967 per ton) and Poland ($1,796 per ton), while the average price for exports to Slovenia ($1,654 per ton) and Croatia ($1,714 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Czech Republic (+2.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
