Milled Rice Price in Luxembourg (CIF) - 2023

The average milled rice import price stood at $2,128 per ton in May 2023, dropping by -16% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2023 an increase of 14% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $2,533 per ton, and then fell notably in the following month.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($4,883 per ton), while the price for Portugal ($1,452 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From May 2022 to May 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Portugal (+3.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average milled rice export price stood at $3,438 per ton in 2022, reducing by -3.1% against the previous year. In general, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The export price peaked at $3,902 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
