Milled Rice Price in Cameroon (CIF) - 2022

The average milled rice import price stood at $371 per ton in 2022, with a decrease of -22.8% against the previous year. In general, the import price saw a noticeable slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the average import price increased by 15%. The import price peaked at $555 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($558 per ton), while the price for Myanmar ($296 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+0.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In 2022, the average milled rice export price amounted to $739 per ton, picking up by 34% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded moderate growth. From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Congo (+17.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Milled Rice Imports in Cameroon
