Maize Price in Hong Kong SAR (CIF) - 2023
The average maize import price stood at $355 per ton in June 2023, waning by -4.5% against the previous month. Overall, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The average maize export price stood at $6,822 per ton in 2022, increasing by 392% against the previous year. In general, the export price continues to indicate a significant increase. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Chile ($9,606 per ton), while the average price for exports to Macao SAR totaled $1,559 per ton.
