Over the period under review, exports, however, enjoyed temperate growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when exports increased by 59%. Over the period under review, the global exports attained the maximum at 433M units in 2021, and then contracted in the following year.

In value terms, loudspeaker exports fell modestly to $5.9B in 2022. In general, exports, however, saw a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 30%. Over the period under review, the global exports hit record highs at $6.1B in 2021, and then contracted in the following year.

Exports By Country

China prevails in exports structure, accounting for 294M units, which was approx. 74% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Vietnam (21M units), constituting a 5.3% share of total exports. The following exporters - Germany (13M units), the United States (11M units), Belgium (9.1M units), Hong Kong SAR (8.1M units), Mexico (7.4M units), the Netherlands (6.9M units) and Singapore (6.5M units) - together made up 16% of total exports.

Exports from China increased at an average annual rate of +6.3% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Vietnam (+118.6%), Belgium (+21.6%), the Netherlands (+8.1%), Singapore (+7.9%), Germany (+4.3%) and Mexico (+3.5%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Vietnam emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +118.6% from 2012-2022. The United States experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Hong Kong SAR (-16.0%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. China (+11 p.p.), Vietnam (+5.3 p.p.) and Belgium (+1.8 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the global exports, while the United States and Hong Kong SAR saw its share reduced by -1.7% and -16% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, China ($3.5B) remains the largest loudspeaker supplier worldwide, comprising 60% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Vietnam ($353M), with a 6% share of global exports. It was followed by the United States, with a 5.1% share.

In China, loudspeaker exports increased at an average annual rate of +12.0% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Vietnam (+91.9% per year) and the United States (+0.8% per year).

Export Prices By Country

The average loudspeaker export price stood at $15 per unit in 2022, growing by 4.3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated a notable expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.4% over the last decade.
