Imines Price in Thailand (CIF) - 2023
In September 2023, the average imines import price amounted to $6,218 per ton, with an increase of 22% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in July 2023 an increase of 24% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $6,473 per ton in September 2022; however, from October 2022 to September 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was France ($61,847 per ton), while the price for India ($3,902 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+8.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imines Price in Thailand (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average imines export price amounted to $4,731 per ton, with an increase of 36% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, saw a mild shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when the average export price increased by 640%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $32,807 per ton. From 2018 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($34,330 per ton), while the average price for exports to Peru ($4,485 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Vietnam (+17.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Imines Imports in Thailand
In 2022, the amount of imines and their derivatives and salts thereof imported into Thailand expanded significantly to 3.2K tons, picking up by 11% on the previous year. Overall, total imports indicated significant growth from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +27.9% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +109.4% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 70%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in years to come.
In value terms, imines imports surged to $20M in 2022. In general, total imports indicated significant growth from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +23.2% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +86.9% against 2019 indices. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Imines Exports in Thailand
In 2022, approx. 31 tons of imines and their derivatives and salts thereof were exported from Thailand; which is down by -54.3% compared with 2021 figures. Over the period under review, exports recorded a abrupt decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 135% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 69 tons, and then dropped remarkably in the following year.
In value terms, imines exports declined sharply to $148K in 2022. Overall, exports, however, recorded a slight increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 117%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $239K, and then declined markedly in the following year.
