Grape Price in Azerbaijan (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average grape export price amounted to $756 per ton, growing by 10% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 21% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $844 per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($760 per ton), while the average price for exports to Ukraine stood at $583 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ukraine (+0.9%).
Grape Price in Azerbaijan (CIF) - 2022
The average grape import price stood at $1,000 per ton in 2022, stabilizing at the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 an increase of 71% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $1,004 per ton in 2021, and then dropped modestly in the following year.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the countries with the highest prices were India ($1,000 per ton) and South Africa ($1,000 per ton), while the price for Peru ($1,000 per ton) and Chile ($1,000 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (+12.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Grape Exports in Azerbaijan
In 2022, approx. 12K tons of grapes were exported from Azerbaijan; increasing by 18% on the year before. Over the period under review, exports posted significant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 59% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
