Frozen Strawberries Price in Ireland (CIF) - 2023
The average frozen strawberries import price stood at $1,995 per ton in June 2023, declining by -26.5% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 when the average import price increased by 33% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $3,037 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to June 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($3,123 per ton), while the price for Poland ($917 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+2.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average frozen strawberries export price amounted to $2,588 per ton, with a decrease of -10.6% against the previous year. In general, the export price showed a drastic downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when the average export price increased by 15%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $7,565 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Hong Kong SAR ($6,017 per ton), while the average price for exports to the UK ($2,202 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United Arab Emirates (-2.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
