Dried Prune Price in Uzbekistan (FOB) - 2023
The average dried prune export price stood at $1,098 per ton in May 2023, declining by -5.2% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a slight curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in June 2022 when the average export price increased by 16% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $1,594 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to May 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In May 2023, the country with the highest price was Belarus ($1,885 per ton), while the average price for exports to Kazakhstan ($718 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From May 2022 to May 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Turkey (+4.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average dried prune import price amounted to $1,238 per ton, surging by 1.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a deep downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when the average import price increased by 8.7% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $2,217 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
