Dried Prune Price in Lithuania (CIF) - 2023
The average dried prune import price stood at $3,812 per ton in September 2023, growing by 8.5% against the previous month. Over the period under review, import price indicated a measured expansion from September 2022 to September 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +4.1% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on September 2023 figures, dried prune import price increased by +8.5% against August 2023 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 when the average import price increased by 137% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $4,288 per ton. From December 2022 to September 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Poland ($6,252 per ton), while the price for Uzbekistan ($2,920 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+21.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In September 2023, the average dried prune export price amounted to $3,807 per ton, falling by -26.2% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.0%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in August 2023 when the average export price increased by 49% m-o-m. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $5,158 per ton, and then dropped notably in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Norway ($6,578 per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland ($3,473 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Denmark (+3.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
